Dr. Hana Al-Nasser Malhas

Co-founder and School Head Principal of Mashrek International School since 1992, has played a pivotal role in shaping the institution’s educational landscape. With over 35 years of experience, she has overseen curriculum changes and successfully led the International Baccalaureate Authorization process for the school’s three IB Programmes.

Dr. Hana’s extensive contributions extend beyond Mashrek, encompassing roles as a special education teacher, educational consultant, and co-founder of the Private Schools Council in 1989. She actively participated in initiatives such as the establishment of the Children’s Human Rights Centre and the committee for The Children’s Museum of Jordan. A global advocate for education, she was appointed to the IB Africa Europe and Middle East Regional Council in 2013 and is involved in various programs promoting social leadership and global education. Dr. Hana, with degrees in Philosophy, Psychology, Special Education, and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, currently serves as the MEIBA President and chairs both the Senior Leadership Team and Academic Leadership Team at Mashrek International School.
